WaPoCo Additions And Departures: Lally Weymouth, Ceci Connoly, James Ledbetter
The Washington Post Company has had an eventful day. To wit:
Reuters has hired former The Big Money editor in chief James Ledbetter to edit Reuters’ website and supervise 2,800 journalists across the globe. (paidContent) The Big Money was, til it folded two months ago, part of the Slate group, which is, of course, part of Washington Post Company.
Post National desk writer Ceci Connolly is leaving for a consulting gig with McKinsey & Company’s new Center for US Health System Reform and its global Health Systems Institute. (FishbowlDC)
Lally Weymouth, the daughter of Katharine Graham and mother of Washington Post publisher Katharine Weymouth (and sister of Washington Post Company CEO Don Graham), is leaving Newsweek, where she was a special diplomatic correspondent, to rejoin the Post fold. She’ll be a senior associate editor at the paper. (Yahoo!)
