Watch MTV Kids Try To Get A Job In PR And/Or Crush It

MTV Hired premieres tonight and the first episode focuses on getting a dream job in PR—at American Rebel PR, to be specific.

According to Washington Post TV critic Hank Stuever, who reviewed the show for today’s paper, as well as American Rebel PR’s owner Chris Detert, it’s not a pretty picture.

“It’s like opening Pandora’s box and finding a turd in there,” Detert sighs.

You know who else is featured on the show? Gary Vaynerchuk, whose Vaynermedia consulting firm was interviewing candidates, according to this release.

Incredibly, having TV cameras following your company and potential employees around doesn’t guarantee a business’s viability, as another featured employer, Gen Art, recently announced it was closing.

The person hired from the show has been laid off along with the rest of the staff, Gen Art cofounder Ian Gerard told the Wall Street Journal.
