Fox News Chief's Failed Attempt to Enlist Petraeus as Presidential Candidate (Washington Post)
In spring 2011, Roger Ailes advised then-Gen. David H. Petraeus to turn down an expected offer from President Obama to become CIA director and accept nothing less than the chairmanship of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the top military post. If Obama did not offer the Joint Chiefs post, Petraeus should resign from the military and run for president, Ailes suggested.

FCC Media Ownership Rule Vote Pushed to Next Year (AdWeek)
The Federal Communications Commission's quadrennial review of media ownership rules, already delayed two years, is delayed again. There will be no vote on the rules until early next year, at the earliest.
