CNN placed fourth in the cable news race last Thursday and Friday.

“It’s often a three-way race between MSNBC, Headline and CNN,” an insider notes. “The big loser in all this is CNN,” especially in “sales prime” from 7pm to 2am — the most attractive/expensive time to advertise.
