On NBC’s “Today” this morning, an animal segment went hilariously awry when a Scarlet Ibis decided to make its perch on Matt Lauer‘s head. “It mistook me for a turtle, Lauer quipped.

The Ibis later decided to perch on the head of Natalie Morales.
