ABC: Jake Tapper Chose To Take A Break From “Rigorous Editorial Process”

Last week we asked: “Why isn’t Jake Tapper getting Down & Dirty anymore??” For a while, it was the most intimate TV news blog out there, but then the ABC News correspondent stopped writing. Howard Kurtz says Tapper’s explanation — “a host of complicated reasons” — “sounds like code for disagreements over content.”

He quotes ABC spokeswoman Emily Lenzner: “Some news organizations have been loose with their blogs and others are more conservative. We put our blogs through a more rigorous editorial process, which is something this blogger chose to take a break from.”
