ABC News To Co-Host Republican Primary Debate in Iowa In Advance Of Iowa Caucus

The road to 2012 continues, with yet another Republican Presidential primary debate added to the schedule. This one is being co-sponsored by ABC News and WOI-DT and will be held in Iowa the weekend of December 10.

“ABC World News” anchor Diane Sawyer and “Good Morning America” co-anchor George Stephanopoulos will moderate the debate.

The debate is timed just a few weeks before the Iowa Caucus, which is always one of the first primary events in the 2012 campaign.

ABC previously announced that it would co-host a debate to be held in New Hampshire in between the Iowa Caucus and New Hampshire primary.
