ABC NEWSONE ANNOUNCES CORRESPONDENT ASSIGNMENTS IN
CHICAGO, WASHINGTON, D.C. & NEW YORK

Jeremy Hubbard Joins ABC News in Chicago; T.J. Winick Joins ABC News in Washington, D.C.; and Linsey Davis Joins ABC News in New York

ABC News President David Westin today announced that Jeremy Hubbard, T.J. Winick and Linsey Davis have joined ABC as NewsOne Correspondents. Hubbard is based in Chicago; Winick is based in Washington, D.C.; and Linsey Davis is based in New York. ABC NewsOne, the affiliate news service of ABC News, provides reports for more than 200 affiliates and clients in the US and around the world.

“Our affiliates across the country and around the globe will benefit from the extensive reporting experience that Jeremy, T.J., and Linsey bring to their new assignments,” said Mr. Westin.

Jeremy Hubbard joined the network in spring 2007 and has reported from the scene of several high-profile stories, including the devastating Greensburg, KS tornado; the warehouse fire that killed nine Charleston, SC firefighters; and the flooding that ravaged parts of Kansas, Missouri and Texas.

Before joining ABC News, Hubbard was a reporter and anchor at KDVR-TV in Denver, where he covered the battle over illegal immigration. He traveled to the Mexican border, documenting the efforts of the controversial “Minuteman Project” to keep illegal immigrants from entering the U.S. Hubbard wrote, produced, and reported “Battle for the Border,” an award-winning documentary on the issue. He also covered politics, reporting from Boston during the 2004 presidential election, where Democratic nominee John Kerry watched the returns.

From 1998-2004, Hubbard worked at KMBC-TV in Kansas City, where he reported on several high-profile national stories. He reported from Texas after the Space Shuttle Columbia explosion and also traveled to Terre Haute, Indiana for the execution of convicted Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh. Hubbard co-produced, co-wrote and anchored “Eye for an Eye,” an award-winning documentary about McVeigh’s execution, centered around the families of two victims who were divided on whether McVeigh should be put to death.

Hubbard has been recognized with several honors for his reporting, including a national Edward R. Murrow award and the national Sigma Delta Chi award from the Society of Professional Journalists. He has also won three regional Edward R. Murrow awards and several regional Emmy awards for both reporting and anchoring.

T.J. Winick covers news in and around the nation’s capital. Before joining ABC News in June 2007, Winick worked as a general assignment reporter for WBZ-TV in Boston from 2002-2007 covering a range of stories, including: the Catholic Church abuse scandal, the Station Nightclub Fire, the Red Sox World Series Title, and the Big Dig. From 2000-2002 he was a reporter at New England Cable News also based in Boston. Before that, Winick was a general assignment reporter for WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh from 1998-2000 and WBBH-TV in Ft. Myers, Florida from 1996-1997.

Winick’s introduction to television came as an intern for ABC Sports and as a production assistant for ESPN. He has also produced for “America's Most Wanted” and the History Channel.

Winick graduated from Colby College in Waterville, Maine with a degree in Government. He is a native of Marblehead, Massachusetts and currently resides in Washington D.C.

Linsey Davis joined ABC News in June 2007. Before joining the network, she was anchor of the weekend evening newscasts at WTHR-TV in Indianapolis. Davis joined the station as a reporter in 2003 and during her time there, she reported from New Orleans in wake of Hurricane Katrina, from Torino for the 2006 Winter Olympics, and from Athens for the 2004 Summer Olympics. From 2001-2003, Davis was a reporter at WJRT-TV, the ABC owned station in Flint, Michigan.

Davis has received several honors for her reporting, including an Emmy Award and a regional Edward R. Murrow Award. In addition, the Center for Leadership Development awarded her with the distinction of “Up and Comer.”

Davis earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Virginia and a Master of Arts degree in communications from New York University. She is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
