Two of Charles Gibson's future competitors wished him well via taped messages on GMA this morning.

"I am all about my friend Charlie," Brian Williams said. Charlie's a pro. He brings his very best game every time he goes out there. As much as we are competitors by day, it is my friendship with Charlie that I value most." As Williams spoke, the words "TOTALLY DISINGENUOUS" and "OUTRIGHT LIE" flashed on the screen.

"Congratulations and good luck -- with limits," Williams added.

Katie Couric's message was shorter: "I think you're terrific. I've always admired your generosity of spirit, your basic kindness, so I wish you all the best Charlie, see you in September!"
