Diane Sawyer was off last night, not anchoring “World News” on ABC, but she turned up in a story on the “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams.” Williams reported on more finds from the presidential files of Richard Nixon. That included details about Sawyer who worked for the president. Williams reported:
“The memo showed Diane Sawyer, then a 25-year-old Nixon White House aide, got in trouble for telling a family friend he was being nominated as a federal judge. Problem is, a U.S. Senator was supposed to tell him first. Sawyer apologized profusely.”
