ABC News is out with a new “Hidden America” report that explores gang violence in Chicago. As part of the series of reports, Diane Sawyer and Chicago-based correspondent Alex Perez will host a summit between several of the area’s rival gangs.
“Diane Sawyer and her Hidden America team have done it again — shining a new light on stories of violence, struggle and hope in Chicago while searching for answers to one of the most vexing problems facing our country,” ABC News president Ben Sherwood said in a statement.
The reports air Thursday and Friday on “World News” and Friday on “Nightline.”
