ABC/Univision Network Pushed To Mid/Late 2013
The ABC/Univision joint venture cable news channel is targeting a July 1, 2013 launch, according to MediaPost’s David Goetzl. The launch which was originally announced as “early 2013,” could be delayed further, Goetzl notes. Univision has agreed to commit at least $25 million to the venture.
We have previously noted that executives are currently looking for a name for the channel. Among the names being considered are “UNA,” “U&A,” “VZTA” and “Accent.” TVNewser also hears that another name being added to the list of front-runners is “POWR.”
