Alexis Glick Out, Natalie Morales In

moralesfeb15.jpg“Where in the world is Alexis Glick?,” an e-mailer asked last week. “She’s been absent from Today for a week or so. Is it permanent?”

Now we know: “Glick, the all-American NBC correspondent who once seemed positioned to inherit Katie Couric’s anchor chair, has been moved off the Today show and thereby out of contention for its throne,” three sources tell the Observer’s Rebecca Dana.

Glick cleared off her desk last week and shuffled out the door of 30 Rock.” So what’s next for her?…

Meanwhile, Natalie Morales is becoming a full-time correspondent for Today. Why is Glick out and Morales in? “Insiders buzz that it’s all about keeping Natalie happy with her brand new four year deal,” a tipster says. “But what does it mean for Katie’s future or lack thereof?”
