Attorney Joe Tacopina Pitches In For 20/20 “Whodunit” Story

An ABC News spokesperson confirms to TVNewser that prominent New York criminal defense attorney Joe Tacopina, a frequent television commentator, is pitching in on a story for this week’s 20/20 as an ABC News consultant.

The collaboration was first reported today by the New York Post’s Page Six. Tacopina has been working on the story of Amanda Knox, the U.S. college student being investigated after the murder of her British roommate in Italy. “It really is a fascinating whodunit,” says Tacopina, who maintains a law office in Milan and who the Post says “scored an exclusive interview with the chief of the Perugia (Italy) police, got cameras into the Rome Crime Lab, and analyzed the murder scene and evidence”.

“I think this girl’s innocent,” he tells the paper.
