Beck Wins Marconi Award
Headline News anchor and radio personality Glenn Beck was awarded the 2008 Marconi Award for Network Syndicated Personality.
The award, which honors the top radio personality, was given out last night at the annual National Association of Broadcasters dinner. Beck’s show is the 3rd most listened to talk show among the A25-54 demo.
On TV, Beck has had a big year too — up by double digits at both 7pmET and 9pmET in Total Viewers and the demo year-to-year.
Beck tells TVNewser: “This truly is a lifelong dream that doesn’t quite seem real yet. I still think that they’ve made a mistake or someone has blackmailed them — maybe both. Either way, it’s too late. I’m keeping the award.”
Last year’s winner was FNC anchor Sean Hannity.
