Bret Baier, The ‘Human Shield’ of Fox News, Goes on ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’

Fox News anchor Bret Baier was a guest on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” last night, and the interview ran long. Way long.

Typically interviews run about five minutes, Baier’s interview was so long the “Daily Show” team cut it up into three five-minute segments.

Not surprisingly, the ideology of Fox News was a major topic of conversation.

Baier, who Stewart called “the human shield” of the network, because he is held up as a source of integrity when the network is attacked by critics, spent much of the interview on the defensive:
