Cablers Carry Arlen Specter Town Hall Live
It’s not every day that all three cable news networks air a live town hall hosted by a senator from Pennsylvania. But Fox News, CNN and MSNBC are this morning, Sen. Arlen Specter, the republican-turned-democrat, is holding a town hall in Lebanon, PA.
Nine days ago at a town hall in Philadelphia, Specter along with HHS Secy. Kathleen Sebelius hosted a meeting that put these August recess town halls on the news media map.
Security guards are present inside and outside the town hall meeting this morning in Lebanon. Said one angry constituent to Specter: “One day God is going to judge you and the rest of your damn cronies on the hill.”
