Can You Hear Me Now? George Stephanopoulos Gets Phone Call During Live ‘World News’ Segment

ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos apparently forgot to put his phone on “vibrate” last night, as it rang–quite loudly–while he was being interviewed by “ABC World News” anchor Diane Sawyer.

“That’s your voice, your vote… and your ringtone, thanks George,” Sawyer quipped (via Mediaite).

ABC, deciding that the unscripted moment was more embarrassing than fun, decided to edit out the incident for the west coast, as well as the online versions of the newscast. The edited version is below, with a jump cut evident.
