Capus on Couric: ‘I miss the fact that Katie is no longer at NBC’
MarketWatch.com’s Jon Friedman talks with NBC News President Steve Capus about the success of NBC News, his competitors and what worries him most.
On Katie Couric: “I miss the fact that Katie is no longer at NBC … I think that Katie was born to do the Today show. I thought that was a format that absolutely fit Katie’s incredibly strong talents. I think the Evening News, at the beginning, was difficult for Katie to put her fingerprints on, just as it was difficult for Brian Williams to put his fingerprints on.”
