Carter Evans, Husband of FNC’s Courtney Friel, to Join CNN

Developing: TVNewser hears that Carter Evans, who, according to his web site, is a freelance reporter and anchor with My 9 News (WWOR) in New York City and for CBS Newspath, will be joining CNN as a reporter. Sources say he will report for CNN Newsource, CNN’s affiliate service.

The story gets more interesting, though — Evans is married to Fox News Channel correspondent Courtney Friel.

Evans and Friel have lived in New York City since early 2007 when Friel was hired by FNC.

Now it appears the couple will work a few blocks away from each other — and on competing cable networks.
