CBS Sports Analyst Bill Cowher "Insulted" By Rumors
How dare the media insinuate that CBS Sports analyst Bill Cowher will return to the sidelines in 2011.
Cowher addressed the rumors that he’s in line to become the head coach of the New York Giants (when Tom Coughlin gets the boot in the offseason) on Sunday during The NFL Today.
“For anyone to insinuate that I have a wish list of coaches to be fired at this time of the year, I have too much respect for the profession,” Cowher said. “I know how hard it is. I don’t wish for anybody to be fired. And for someone to insinuate that I’m doing that right now is disrespectful to them, and I’m insulted by it. I would not do that to the profession.
All kidding aside, how many times have we heard former coaches tell us they aren’t interested in a job, only to take the position weeks later?
That’s what I’m insulted by.
