CBS Sunday Morning Has Best Season in Three Years

CBS Sunday Morning wrapped up its 2008-09 ratings year as the #1 Sunday morning news program. The broadcast was up 3% in households and up 5% in Total Viewers. The Charles Osgood-hosted program had its best Total Viewer performance, averaging 4.99 million, since the 2005-06 season.

And this may say something about they effect of television programs broadcast in high definition: last Sunday’s annual “By Design” episode, the show’s first in HD, was up 10% in households, up 16% in Total Viewers and up 17% in A25-54 viewers, compared to the same week last season.
