Chris Matthews Wins!…an “Outrageously Biased” Award

matthews_4-11.jpgThe 2008 Media Research Center’s DisHonors Awards took place last night in Washington, D.C. and MSNBC’s Chris Matthews was (dis)honored with the “Quote Of The Year Award.”

Interestingly, one of the presenters (and voters) of the awards was Larry Kudlow, from Matthews’ sister-network CNBC.

Former FNC anchor and White House press secretary Tony Snow was honored with the only non-tongue-in-cheek award, winning the William F. Buckley Award for Media Excellence.

Matthews, nominated twice (and up against the McClatchy News Service and his MSNBC-mate Keith Olbermann), was called “suddenly homo-erotic” for his Barack Obama praise in his selection.

Matthews had earlier picked up the “Barack Obama Gives a Thrill Up My Leg” award, but he most likely did not have too much competition.
