Christiane Amanpour Goes ‘Back to the Beginning’ for ABC News Special

Having recently returned from a reporting trip to battle-worn Gaza and Israel, ABC/CNN’s Christiane Amanpour returns to the region on the ultimate road trip. Using the Old Testament as a guidebook, Amanpour travels to the lands of the Bible — from Genesis to the Birth of Jesus — for the ABC News special “Back to the Beginning.” The two part, four-hour special peels back the layers of history and faith, traveling through the deserts and cities of the ancient world discovering the backbone of Judaism, Christianity and Islam today.

“Back to the Beginning” debuts Friday, Dec. 21 and continues Friday, Dec. 28.

Later this week, MediabistroTV sits down with Amanpour as she tells us about her “First Big Break” in the TV news business. Look for that on TVNewser in early January.
