Christiane Amanpour’s Farewell to ‘This Week’

Sunday was Christiane Amanpour‘s last appearance as moderator of ABC’s “This Week.” Next year Amanpour shifts ti a new role as global foreign affairs anchor for ABC, and as an anchor for CNN international.

“I want to thank you all for inviting me into your homes every Sunday for the past year and a half. It has been an enormous privilege to anchor this prestigious program as we traveled the country and parts of the world together,” Amanpour said in her farewell. “In the new year you can find me off on new adventures, covering global affairs, and challenges here at home in this struggling economy.”
