Stay Mad Party

Cramer_1129.jpgIt was all about Mad Money last night at Lotus in the West Village for Jim Cramer's book party of "Stay Mad For Life."

CNBC President Mark Hoffman, who claimed the place was too hip for him when he lived in the neighborhood in the '80s, introduced Cramer early in the evening. During the speech, he noted CNBC was just completing their highest rated November since 2000. He broke the news of the new multi-year Cramer contract to the crowd, to which he and Cramer high-fived.

He also mentioned the "big storm" that he had heard was coming on October 15, but said that so far, CNBC hasn't "had to move the thermostat at all."

The veiled shots at Fox Business continued when Cramer took the mic. After calling CNBC the "most exciting, gratifying and rewarding place to work," he acknowledged, although not by name, Fox Biz and his intention to "wipe the floor with them." And for those who jump ship to the competition? "Anyone who goes over there...we're not friends," Cramer said to cheers and laughter from the crowd.

Asked for a response, an FBN spokesperson said, "Doesn't Jim need ratings first before wiping the floor with us?"

Also, the big buzz in the room was the Mad Money team landing the first Rudy Guiliani interview since last night's CNN/YouTube debate fireworks. The Giuliani interview airs on Mad Money tonight.
