CNN Atlanta Chief To Temporarily Oversee 8pm Hour
Roland Martin began guest hosting at 8pmET on Monday, while Campbell Brown takes maternity leave. Martin said on the air it would be for eight weeks.
As a tipster noted yesterday, there appears to be some temporary changes behind the scenes as well. A CNN spokesperson confirms this to TVNewser: “David Doss continues to be the senior executive producer for Anderson Cooper and Campbell Brown. But as you know, Campbell is on maternity leave and Scott Matthews is working with Roland Martin while he fills in for her.”
The spokesperson says Matthews will continue working with Martin on his upcoming weekend show once Brown returns.
Matthews joined CNN as director of programming in January 2008. He previously was VP of news at WNYW in New York. Matthews had been based in Atlanta, but is producing Martin’s show from New York.
