‘CNN Newsroom’ Expands To Weekends
When CNN announced CNN Newsroom last month, it didn’t mention any weekend editions. But starting today, CNN Newsroom is the sole brand for all daytime news programming, seven days a week.
Newsroom has replaced “CNN Live Saturday” and “CNN Live Sunday” on the network’s schedule. It airs “between 10 a.m and 11 p.m. ET on weekends,” the site says, with taped programming interspersed.
The regular weekend anchors are TJ Holmes, Carol Lin, Betty Nguyen & Fredricka Whitfield.
