Following up on Saturday’s posts: CNN Pipeline officially launches at 8 a.m. Monday.

Jim Walton and other CNN heavy hitters are hosting a launch party at 7:30 a.m. in Atlanta, a tipster says.

David Payne, SVP of CNN News Services and GM of CNN.com, calls Pipeline the “ultimate news experience.” “Designed for people to ‘watch and work,’ CNN Pipeline gives consumers commercial-free choices and control,” Payne says in a press release coming out later today. “Easy to use and elegant in design, CNN Pipeline is to online news what the iPod is to digital music.”

> Saturday: Pipeline will be produced in high definition. It will include a CNN International pipe.
