CNN has named Paula Newton the network's international security correspondent. She will be based in London.

"This role has been created in recognition of the growing significance of international terrorism in the global news agenda, Tony Maddox, senior vice president for CNN International newsgathering, said.

She will primarily cover Britain and Europe but "also touch on issues in the Middle East, Africa and elsewhere." Here's the release...
