Cory Johnson has been named co-anchor, with Emily Chang, for Bloomberg TV’s as-yet unannounced West Coast-based show. The show, to be shot in San Francisco, will focus on Silicon Valley, tech moguls, and new media. Most recently Johnson was a hedge fund manager and private investor, but has roots in reporting.

He was a founding reporter for TheStreet.com, was a writer-reporter at Time, a senior editor at Vibe and in 2001 he was named CNBC’s first Silicon Valley reporter.

He began appearing on Bloomberg last week from NY headquarters.
