Couric: ‘I Was Very Very Gracious and Cordial to the Party Crashers’
During her live Facebook chat this week, Katie Couric described bumping into the party-crashing Tareq and Michaele Salahi at the White House state dinner. And apparently, she almost inadvertently scooped everyone on the story:
Couric said she regrets not bringing along her flip camera. “I probably would have talked to them with my flip,” she said. “I would have said, ‘Tell me who you are and why you’re here?’ Can you imagine? That would have been very valuable video.”
Couric said she made polite conversation with the Salahis in line, complimenting Michaele’s dress and even offering to get them some champagne.
