Couric to Afghanistan; Curry to Pakistan
“CBS Evening News” anchor Katie Couric is en route to Afghanistan today. She will anchor the newscast from Kabul on Thursday and Friday for CBS News’ “Afghanistan: The Road Ahead” series. (Erica Hill and Harry Smith will, respectively, anchor in her absence until then.)
Meanwhile, NBC News’ Ann Curry is in Islamabad, Pakistan where she’ll be broadcasting live starting tomorrow for the “Today” show as well as “NBC Nightly News.” Curry will be reporting on the major flooding in the region as well as interviewing Sen. John Kerry.
