Dan Rather: ‘You’re more likely to see water run uphill’ Than See Him on ‘Katie’

Former “CBS Evening News” anchor Dan Rather continues to make the rounds promoting his book Rather Outspoken. Friday he appeared on “The Wendy Williams Show” whee he talked politics… and Katie Couric.

Rather said he had “great respect” for Couric, but that “The Powers That Be” at CBS wanted to move away from the version of the “CBS Evening News” that he did, and that he said journalists like Edward R. Murrow did, and toward a new model.

he also said that he would be happy to appear on Couric’s upcoming talk show “Katie,” “But I think you’re more likely to see water run uphill than you are to see that happen,” he quipped.
