Dan Senor: From Carlyle To Iraq To Fox News Contributor To White House?

In Fred Barnes‘ “third term for Bush” essay in yesterday’s WSJ, he suggests a new press secretary.

Dan Senor, a Republican and former spokesman for Paul Bremer in Iraq, would be a perfect successor to Scott McClellan. He would be an articulate and forceful defender of Mr. Bush on Iraq,” Barnes says.

Senor’s history is fascinating. After graduating valedictorian from Harvard Business School, he ended up at the Carlyle Group. He became “Senior Advisor to the Coalition in Iraq,” i.e. the war spokesperson. Upon return from Iraq, Senor became a Fox News contributor. He hosted a special about Saddam Hussein‘s trial in October.
