David Letterman Extortionist Joe Halderman Out of Jail

joe-halderman090210.jpgThe former CBS News producer who tried to extort “Late Show” host David Letterman was released from prison early today for good behavior, the AP reports. yes, Emmy-nominated Joe Halderman is now a free man, after serving four months of his six month sentence… and he is looking for work!

“He survived this, and he’s glad to be getting off the island,” his lawyer, Gerald Shargel, said Wednesday. The former CBS “48 Hours” producer – who’s up for a News and Documentary Emmy award this year – is looking for work, Shargel added.
