David Letterman Tries to Convince Brian Williams Not to do ‘The Tonight Show’

“NBC Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams was on CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman” last week, and while their conversation was wide-ranging, the highlight was an awkward and hilarious exchange about Jay Leno.

Quoth Williams: “Let’s talk about Regis…”

Williams appeared on another NBC News program this morning, moderating “Meet the Press” from New Orleans five years after Katrina. Williams interviewed actor Brad Pitt who is leading an effort to rebuild houses in the city.

Williams interviews Pres. Obama later today and that interview will air tonight on “Nightly News.”
