DCNewsers Beat the Heat by Heading to Aspen

Mitchell_7.7.bmpWith temperatures topping 100 degrees in Washington and New York, Aspen sounds awfully nice right about now. And that’s where a bunch of tvnewsers are this week for the annual Aspen Ideas Festival.

Moderators and participants include NBC’s Andrea Mitchell (pictured during a session today with NOAA administrator Dr. Jane Lubchenco) and CBS’s Bob Schieffer. Mitchell, along with her colleague Chuck Todd are anchoring their MSNBC shows from the Colorado mountain city.

Tomorrow, Schieffer tapes a “Face the Nation” interview with Attorney General Eric Holder (airing Sunday).

We’re told Bloomberg and CNN also have live shots from the festival and that Arianna Huffington will be a guest on “John King USA” tonight.

The Aspen Institute is headed by former CNN Chairman and CEO Walter Isaacson.

By the way, it’s a sunny 72 degrees in Aspen right now.
