Last night David Muir was sitting in for Diane Sawyer on “World News” at the Time Warner Cable Arena, site of the DNC.

Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos, who have been anchoring ABC’s coverage of the Democratic National Convention, left Charlotte Wednesday morning after “Good Morning America” to travel to Mississippi to be with their friend Robin Roberts and her family for Lucimarian Roberts’ funeral. The funeral comes as Roberts prepares for a bone marrow transplant procedure — her sister is her donor — to treat her MDS.
