DJ Steve Porter, best known for his “Where Defense Happens” NBA commercial last year, caused quite the stir online after he appeared Sunday on ESPN to premiere his latest video featuring Randy Moss titled “One Clap.”
At the end of the video, Porter is seen wearing a Moss jersey, an afro wig and appears to be dressed in blackface – a derogatory stereotype against African Americans.
In fact, Porter was wearing a Moss mask for Halloween. “Nothing even close to more than that, and all in the good spirit of Halloween and the man Randy Moss,” Porter tweeted after receiving several messages about the clip.
The Moss mask has been on the market for a few years now and was sold on the wide receiver’s website.
Hopefully this doesn’t take away from the video, which is amazing.
