Don Lemon: Writing His Memoir ‘One of the Hardest Things I’ve Ever Done’
CNN’s Don Lemon has written a memoir, Transparent, out in June.
Lemon tells the Chicago Sun-Times‘ Stella Foster that the book will address the childhood sexual abuse he revealed while on-air last fall.
Writing the book “was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. And I figure if I am going to write a book about my life, I may as well tell all, so I approached it the same way I do journalism, there are no questions or subjects off limits.
“I tell family and personal secrets, and it is cathartic and no one can hold anything over me ever again.”
Lemon says he received “CNN’s blessings” to write the book.
