Don Teague Officially Joins CBS News
It’s official: Don Teague, who has been freelance reporting for CBS News since early April, has signed a contract with the network.
According to an announcement by Teague’s agent in today’s Shoptalk, Teague “is delighted to enter into a new agreement with CBS News as a Dallas-based network correspondent reporting regularly for the CBS Evening News and all other CBS News broadcasts.”
Teague was among those cut by NBC News during layoffs last December.
The announcement also states that in addition to his new job, Teague is “currently completing work on the book, ‘Two Faces of Iraq’ with publisher Simon & Schuster, scheduled for release later this year.”
