Don Teague Turns up on CBS News
A TVNewser emailer noticed former NBC News correspondent Don Teague reporting for the CBS Evening News last night. Insiders tell us he is freelancing for the network based in Texas. His story was on skyrocketing health care costs from the perspective of an Austin hospital that has seen just a handful of patients making hundreds of return trips to the E.R. at taxpayers’ expense.
Teague was among those cut from NBC News in December.
Also last night on the CBS Evening News, anchor Katie Couric, without mentioning the passing of his father, said to correspondent Chip Reid: “Chip, thank you very much for your work this week.”
