Evening News Ratings: Week of April 6

All three evening news broadcasts saw viewership declines again last week. The CBS Evening News, however, was up week-to-week in A25-54 demo viewers. “NBC Nightly News with Brian” Williams” was #1 in both categories – 26 consecutives weeks at #1 in Total Viewers and 20 weeks in a row in A25-54 viewers.

Second-place “World News with Charles Gibson” closed the Total Viewing gap by 3% and the demo gap by 57%. Third-place “CBS Evening News with Katie Couric” closed its Total Viewing gap with “World News” by 35%.

Total Viewers: NBC: 8,250,000 / ABC: 7,480,000 / CBS: 5,870,000

25-54 demo: NBC: 2,350,000 / ABC: 2,190,000 / CBS: 1,820,000
