Evening News Ratings: Week of Aug. 9
“NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” was the most-watched newscast again last week, adding 370,000 Total Viewers from the week prior. Ann Curry substituted for Williams, whose father, Gordon Williams, died last weekend. The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric was also up week-to-week, adding 250,000 Total Viewers. Couric was in Monday, Tuesday and Thursday with Erica Hill subbing on Wednesday and Friday.
#2 “World News with Diane Sawyer” was down week-to-week, but up compared to the same week in August 2009. Sawyer was off last week. George Stephanopoulos anchored Monday-Thursday and David Muir anchored Friday.
