Evening News Ratings: Week of Dec. 22

Following a week where NBC and CBS saw some their best ratings in nearly two years, all three network newscasts were down week-to-week in Total Viewers and the A25-54 demo last week. The NBC Nightly News finished first in both categories, with ABC 2nd and CBS 3rd.

ABC and CBS’ ratings are based on a two-day average, with Wednesday-Friday excluded, while NBC’s is based on a three-day average with just Wednesday and Thursday excluded.

Total Viewers: NBC: 9,310,000 / ABC: 8,770,000 / CBS: 6,810,000

25-54 demo: NBC: 2,900,000 / ABC: 2,790,000 / CBS: 2,100,000

25-54 rating: NBC: 2.3/8 / ABC: 2.2/8 / CBS: 1.7/6
