Evening News Ratings: Week Of Dec. 5

The NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams beat ABC’s World News Tonight by over one million viewers for the week of Dec. 5, NBC says. NN was #1 in all categories, including the 25-54 demo. Among total viewers, NBC had 10,513,000 viewers while ABC had 9,418,000 and CBS had 8,270,000.

ABC’s WNT is up 9 percent year-to-year and 4 percent week-to-week in the key 25-54 demographic. The broadcast posted its highest deliver among P2+ and P25-54 since the week of Aug. 29 (Katrina)…

Meanwhile, CBS staffers are excited by the recent ratings gains for the CBS Evening News with Bob Schieffer. The program has “increased its total viewers by +970,000 viewers (8.27 million from 7.30 million) and its household delivery by +10 percent (5.7/11 from 5.2/10) for the week of Dec. 5, while NBC and ABC decreased in total viewers and households compared to last year,” a CBS press release said.
