Evening News Ratings: Week of January 17
The three evening newscasts drew a combined average of 25,600,000 Total Viewers last week — up 1% from a year ago (25,330,000). “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” led the way with 10M Total Viewers, with “World News with Diane Sawyer” 1.09M viewers behind — but closing the gap with “Nightly” to its closest level in 6 weeks. “World News” was up year-over-year in Total Viewers and had its best A25-54 demo number since the week of Feb. 08, 2010. The “CBS Evening News with Katie Couric” was also up year-over-year in Total Viewers, and flat in the demo.
