Evening News Ratings: Week of January 31
All three evening newscasts were up from week-to-week in both Total Viewers and among A25-54 viewers. “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” led the way again with 11.29M Total Viewers — delivering the best Total Viewers in more than six years. The last time “Nightly” delivered numbers like this was George W. Bush‘s second inauguration on Jan. 17, 2005.
#2 “World News with Diane Sawyer” drew its largest audience in nearly 4 years in Total Viewers and in nearly 2 years among younger viewers. “World News” saw increases from year-to-year in both Total Viewer (+14%) and among younger viewers (+14%). #3 “CBS Evening News” saw growth from week-to-week in both Total Viewers and among A25-54 viewers.
