Evening News Ratings: Week of July 16

For the first time in 12 weeks, NBC Nightly News has won the ratings race. The Brian Williams broadcast outdrew World News with Charles Gibson by 290,000 total viewers. ABC News points out Gibson was off last week. Also, World News aired out of its normal time period in NYC on Wednesday because of breaking news related to the steam pipe explosion.

Total viewers: NBC: 7,490,000 / ABC: 7,200,000 / CBS: 5,710,000

25-54 demo: NBC: 2,160,000 / ABC: 2,130,000 / CBS: 1,760,000

25-54 rating: NBC: 1.8/8 / ABC: 1.7/8 / CBS: 1.4/6
